AIM-COST Action (CA 17108) – 1st TRAINING SCHOOL (WG1)
Harmonizing Aedes Invasive Mosquito (AIM) surveillance across Europe
Mosquito-borne diseases emerging or re-emerging in Europe are a serious cause of concern to human health. CA 17108 AIM-Aedes Invasive Mosquitoes aims at establishing a transboundary network of partners and institutions across Europe and to facilitate co-ordinated multidisciplinary research. It will identify and fill knowledge gaps, optimize and harmonize mosquito surveillance and control approaches and raise awareness on the risks caused by Aedes invasive mosquitoes. The 1st AIM-COST Training School will focus on harmonizing AIM surveillance across Europe with the goal to implement a standardized Pan-European monitoring scheme in summer 2020 and beyond.
